That's Why We Love You! in These Foolish Things

ODD/CRAZY things that have happened in the last day or so:

  • Just finished a meeting with Boss. I be-bopped into his office full of happiness just because that’s how I roll. He noticed my attitude for the first time in…well, ever? And he said something about my awesome attitude. I said something to the effect of, that’s how I always am…and do you know what he said?? “That’s why we love you.” Whaaat???

  • Found out that a colleague of mine (in this office) who I used to meet in China for parts of my work trips had a long-standing affair while he’d travel. And it was right under my nose! He was always one of those people who’d gossip about the folks who were traveling with us and getting happy ending massages and such. Turns out, he was one of THOSE. He ended up getting a vendor employee pregnant and she had the baby two years ago! I’m actually pretty miffed at the guy since he’s always so excited to talk about others. But I saw pictures today - the baby is the spitting image of him and it’s kind of hilarious.

  • I think Chef K is ghosting. It’s okay. He owes me nothing. It’s just suuuuuch a bummer after years and years of crushing on him - then to finally go out with him…only to have ZERO sparks!

  • I just booked a trip on a whim! All this talk about Chef K’s road trip that he’s planning got me clicking around online, so guess what? I am going to the Grand Canyon for a couple of days for my birthday! Who wants to go with me?

  • Crazy dreams have included me driving a bus (???) and not being able to scoot my seat back far enough to get my legs comfortable enough to drive. My guess is that it stems from my blistered up feet, the fact that I just read an article about airlines potentially taking out the reclining feature on seats in coach sections of airplanes (I’m all for this, btw), and the fact that I’m trying to “drive” a project to fruition

I can’t think of any more right now.
