Why is it that so many people think they know what is best for my life? Do this! Don’t do that! Go here! Go there! Don’t fall for her! She is perfect for you!
Well, I am sorry if my life doesn’t live up to your expectations. But let us reread the pervious sentence. Do you notice the phrase “my life”?? Does it say your life? No it doesn’t. So you’ll forgive me if I do what I want. Go where I want. And don’t let me forget, love who I want. It is hard for these people to watch me “throwing my life away”. Then here is an idea, don’t watch. And if something happens and I have to say you were right, then so be it. But I digress, you won’t be around because you can’t “watch”. Then I will never have to say you were right, regardless of the final situation. Sounds like a win win to me. If I get my heart broke, that is on me. If I get in trouble, on me. Why?? Because it’s MY life. So, right or wrong, it’s on me. So if you can’t stay and “watch”, bye.
