Staff Lunch in These Foolish Things

....and it’s Friday. I am looking forward to knocking a bunch of shit out at work today (mostly presentations) and then heading home for a weekend of nesting. I literally have nothing planned again and I could not be more thrilled.
But again, before I do the weekend stuff, I have the following to figure and push through as much as I can today:
All of this is due by Thursday of next week (Valentines Day!). Hooray. The good news is that the sales meeting presentations will use a large portion of the financials presentations, so it won’t be like recreating the wheel, but this is a LOT of prep.
Here’s something interesting that’s going to happen today: Boss wants to take his staff to lunch! I got the invitation from Brown Nosey (of all people, because she has to be the *favorite child* here in the office) late yesterday and wondered what that was all about. My fellow staff members speculate that he’s feeling guilty about things, but I’m not sure that’s why. It may just be that he’s feeling generous because he has family visiting from out of town (including his grandkid) and he’s feeling the love.
Funny thing is, it totally triggered my dreams last night. All night long I dreamt about missing this lunch and being invited to lunch by the CEO instead and getting in a car wreck on the way, making me late and freaking me out and not being able to get in touch with anyone and THEN somehow, my crazy and fucked up college roommate was somehow involved - doing some kind of weird touching me and chasing me all over the place. SO BIZARRE. What could all that mean?
Who cares. Free lunch. Heh.
I just hate when I dream about work though, because it’s always so stressful and I don’t wake up refreshed.
OK. Let’s see how today goes…
xox,
GS

Enjoy your weekend!

Bizarre dreams must be going around. I just had a night of running from a small dance troupe that I knew in college. They'd signed on with some death cult and were chasing me all over town armed with garottes.
