I look up to see your sparkling eyes and your black hair that looks like the night sky.
Your smile is like the moon, bright and mesmerizing.
My day changes when I see you at school, laughing with other students.
When I get home, I look at the sky.
The infinite black is full of sparkles that seem to dance around with happiness.
I think to myself, “What kind of sky would I see with you?”

Even though I enjoy being around you, I’m tired of always seeing your back.
Whether it’s hanging out or running the mile, your back is always facing me.

I always have the urge to always stand by your side, as your equal.
Right now, I’m nowhere close to you even though we talk every day.
But don’t worry because one day, I will reach out my arm and grab onto you.

I did tell myself that one day I will make you look my way.
But instead, you looked in the opposite direction.
I saw you with her.
I could see your eyes shining brightly as you smile at her.
My heart sinks and dies.
But I am happy you found someone that you love.

I am like a puppet.
My parents pull my strings and control me.
