First I want to thank everyone that reached out it does help so what I’m going to write may sound different than what I mean for it to so please nobody take it wrong and I’m not making excuses for mom but writing helps me make sense of things sometimes but this may be all over the place because my mind runs all over the place so I’m writing this as it comes in my head
So I get ask about my mom a lot so I thought maybe I would talk about her typical day and if this diary ever pays off it will help because I did.
My real dad used a lot of drugs and did some pretty bad stuff so that’s why he is not in the picture anyways. Mom worked 2 ½ jobs and we lived in a car when she met my stepdad and the state was treating to take me because we didn’t have a house. I want to say during that time I never missed a meal and never missed school mom seen to it. My stepdad stepped in and stopped them from taking me.
They meet at the restaurant my mom works at if anybody wonders. They dated for like 6 months before they got married, He helped mom with rent at an apartment I even liked him at first.
Mom goes to work at 3:30 pm and gets home at midnight. So we don’t see each other a lot during school. So what I talk about is just what I overhear mostly and see
I hear him tell mom you need to remember the only you have Canyon is because of me and that can change. It is weird he drives her to work and picks her up. I mean she never drives anywhere. She is trying to save money without him knowing, but he picks up her check because I hear them talk about it.
It feels weird talking about mom it is like I’m putting her down so I’m stopping here.

I think you're very thoughtful regarding your mom. Do remember still that your needs are as important as hers too. There should be a solution for you both

It's not uncommon for an abusive person to control the money. Sounds like your stepdad knows exactly what he's doing.
