Playing hard to get? in Emotional

Is it wrong to not play hard to get? For me, i feel like if youre talking to someone and you both like each other you should just enjoy it and be happily enfatuated with each other rather than play games. Its a waste of time in my opinion and somewhat childish. I guess it depends on the person because the last guy i tried talking to said he didnt like playing games/playing hard to get yet others do. And is it wrong to say that you eventually want a relationship by the third date? Like i dont want to waste my time or theirs? I was talking to this guy i used to talk to and he said that thats just how the world works but i think it depends on the person. Like if I think this way someone else must too?
