We got out early at work today, which was nice because I’ve just about had enough. Yes, Boss was not in the office, but I saw Brown Nosey waddling through the hallways a couple of times and was just annoyed as hell. I think I’m just kind of at a breaking point - many of us in that office are.
And though they “released” us at 1pm, I ended up staying until well after 2 just doing some straightening and finishing up emails and such.
When I got out of the office I went home and did some shopping in my downtown neighborhood. It’s sad that I live downtown but get home after the shops and boutiques close so I can’t do any fun shopping unless I get out early from work like I did today.
I did some window shopping and tried on a few puffer coats. I’m looking for something to keep me SUPER warm while I’m in New York over NYE. Found a couple of gorgeous, luxurious coats with the yummiest fur around the hood (real fox, and that made me sad), but they weren’t quite right…
So I shopped some more until it was time to pick up the dog from daycare. Funny, I was almost in a daze while I shopped. It was as if time and space stopped! Heh.
I had forgotten to text The Scot back from earlier and he was heading to bed. I feel bad that I missed him, but we only get out early at work…well, hardly ever, so I was enjoying the hell out of it.
Then home to make a big salad for tomorrow’s feast. I ended up getting fixings to make an apple and broccoli slaw, and I’m so glad I did since it appears that the Great Romaine Scare of 2018 has reared its ugly head again. Wasn’t it easier this year when we had a similar scare?
Tomorrow I get up early for a 5am workout before the 9am Turkey Trot! Definitely getting my workouts in before gorging. I’m scared because my appetite is voracious lately.
Need to pack everything and get the hell outta town as soon as that Turkey Trot is over. Friday is my niece’s birthday and I can’t wait for that…
I have to do a bunch of Black Friday reconnaissance missions on Friday as well…
And then Friday night is the lighting event at Perry’s.
Lots to do! Little time! Need to hit the hay. Early to bed, early to rise… kind of puts bags under my eyes! HAHAHA.
