I’ve been gone for a long time. No excuses. I got caught up in Facebook where everything is expressed in ten words or less and lazy became a way of life. Of course, I could never reduce myself to ten words or less. My brain would explode from an excess of unsaid words.
So, now I’m back. I shall commence to vent. Have you ever seen anything like the travesty of American politics these days? I am disgusted, angry, frustrated and overwhelmed by the trashiness of it all. With all of the shattering issues we have to deal with today, we worry about public bathrooms and who is sleeping with whom. Really, is this the best we can do?
On a more personal level, Bud and I have managed to remain together and are still best friends. We have been through any number of health issues, family issues and all of the assorted things a family brings to the fore. We have new babies. We have new loves and a marriage pending. We have prepubescent great granddaughters. We have increasing physical disabilities and a greater dependence on outside help. Fortunately, our neighbors have children who are always looking for a chance to earn some cash.
I hope you are well. I will try to catch up with you as I get into this business of writing again. I have missed you.
