On nights like this, it’s hard to look forward to any future. The time seems sluggish, careless and headless of any individual’s feelings or his unique destiny. As if it cares for nothing of humanness of beings, animal in its stubbornness to move, at any and all costs!
I often wonder, at times like this, is there anything I say or do that is important enough against this stream of time? Does my uniqueness, my will, my own identity matter at alll? After all, I am only one in uncountable human beings who have come and gone. But perhaps, it was once their time, right now is ours.
Still you wonder, why is it, we still can’t move people around us at all? Is the human strength so insignificant that any changes it wroughts are inconsequential? It must be so. After all, we are only human.
However, to look forward despite the indifference of the world and hardships faced in silence, is not only task, but a challenge. A challenge we have to overcome, because like time, we must move on as well. Perhaps slowly at first, but move on - whether towards a better or worse future? It’s hard to say.
