I watched this on youtube last night. I’ve seen it before and loved it and it was even better this time.

It's a good one.

Thanks for this recommendation - it led me to look up other similar great courtroom drama films and I now have a nice list to choose from when I'm in the mood!

There is never too much kindness. I haven't seen that movie.

The right to state funded counsel. A good right. One that as a Prosecutor (even) I could not more firmly support!! Unfortunately... I live in a state that has rather poorly abused this whole thing. Because an Attorney is appointed. They are paid for by the state. And then a bill is sent to the Defendant after the case is over! Now, some judges are excellent and state that the Defense does not need to repay lawyer fees. But many (too many) make it part of their order so that even if the Defendant wins their case, they could be put in jail for failure to pay lawyer fees. :(

Ah, distraction and social concern to explore when I retire.

That was a compelling show. Interesting to see the rational and reasoned debate by the justices. I don't know I've seen many depictions of that court in chambers or action. Except for John Oliver's dog supreme court.

Henry Fonda and John Houseman were really great in this movie. The story is inspiring.
I have another Henry Fonda movie called The Red Pony based on a Steinbeck short story that I love. I need to look that up.

Have you watched 'The Wrong Man'? Henry Fonda was great in that.
