This past weekend will go down in the record books as one of the best of the year for sure!
Went to Lovely Leah’s to celebrate our friendship and just to kind of regroup after the birthday of the daughter she lost last year. Because she lives so far away in the suburbs, it was my plan to drive to her place on Saturday morning and spend the whole day with her at some of the new hot spots in her neck of the woods. Then dinner and out on the town with a couple of other girls.
Fun was had for sure. We laughed. We cried. We drank lots and lots of bubbly. We got absolutely silly with crazy antics at the bars. We danced all night and into the wee hours. I met a guy. We had amazing chats over coffee and breakfast that Lovely’s husband made for us.
I needed that for sure. Even the all-day hangover yesterday was worth it.
I love my girls and I’ve missed that kind of bonding with them. We all served a funny little purpose last night and you should have seen the photos we were sending back and forth via text yesterday.
What a weekend!
