We got home early afternoon yesterday. The trip went fine. Our son and his wife moved here to the Denver area over 30 years ago and we made a few trips here from our home in North Dakota. In 2000 we moved here. Our daughter had been living in Montana for about 10 years before that. The distance to visit her and her family was almost the same as it had been to visit the others. Lots of 700 +/- road trips in that many years. Most of them in one day. This time (with much encouragement from our children!) we took two days. So much easier! Who knew?

Wow 700 miles in one day! It wouldn't be possible to drive that far here in the UK. We visted Colorado in 1979 and couldn't believe how big just one state is. It was a wonderful holiday, such a beautiful place.

We visited the UK in 2000. Loved it! The thing about the American West is we have these Interstate Hiways where the posted speed limit is 75 to 80 miles an hour. Then when we run out of Interstates the roads are without many cars and also have high speed limits. So we can do the trip in about 10 1/2 hours. But half of that is plenty for us oldsters nowadays.

700 miles in a day sounds lke my dad when we'd take trips. Usually, sometimes, occasionally our trips back home would be 2 days. Think mom would lay down the law. lol
