One thing I can say in At the foot of the hill

about the crazy weather we’ve been having: It’s not boring! Many days (in fact nearly all the days) in July have seen 90 + degrees. It’s been hot and dry and there have been many fires, several still burning. Then yesterday it was gloomy and windy and felt cold to me. Late in the afternoon the sky opened up over our place and rained. Actually rained. I never saw any lightning nor heard any thunder, which is unusual for this area this time of year. Even when it doesn’t rain we usually have thunder, lightning and wind late afternoons.
Today is bright and sunny, the sky is Colorado blue and the temperature is rising… will be at least in the high 80’s today.
I really dislike our air conditioning. Cold air blowing directly on me is not for me. And the only place I can escape to while the fan is running is the bathroom… ‘nuff said.
I have been staying in, anyway, for most of these hot days. Try to get out onto the deck awhile in the mornings while it’s still nice. A couple of days this week I will be going out to play bridge–today with my regular Monday group and Thursday I will sub with another group. Have a doctor appointment tomorrow. Otherwise, I’m here, if you’re looking for me.

Been hot here too but no rain at my place. Areas around received some throughout the weekend, but the farm only got a tease of it. Wish you or someone could adjust the vents so it didn't blow directly on you. Thankfully I can adjust my vents somewhat and that keeps me from getting direct air or heat.
Glad you're here and we can find you!!

I'm glad you are there. :)
We have your weather with the rain in the mountains, and sun at the beach.

Our AC just wants to run and run and run. If it were just me I would keep it at a higher temp, but hubby likes it cooler. I think we should be saving for a new AC unit.

But the weather is certainly interesting.
