Venting in Adventures of New baby and family

Need to vent.

Last Friday I took my son, he’s 21 months to the pediatricians office as he had a fever of 103 and was very lethargic. He had had a cold for over 2 weeks and his breathing seemed labored. NO Wheezing. They did a treatment there was going to send him for an xray but his breathing was still labored and they sent him by ambulance to Children’s. He got another nebulizer treatment and a shot of steriods, medication at the doctors and the hospital for the fever. They monitored his stats and sent him home with only an abuterol inhaler. The next day the peds wanted to see him to make sure he was ok. Saw a different doctor whom states he was fine. His lungs clear. He’s still very junky in the mornings and had a low grade fever. Still no xray of his lungs, no antibiotic. They told me to come back in 5 days. So yesterday he was seen again. Dr states lungs are clear(same doctor as Saturday that said he was clear). He has been the same. Horrible at night coughing. Junky in the morning and on and off again low grade fever. Meanwhile I have a sinus infection from this cold and the older child I have, pretty much has the same symptoms (saw a different doctor) he has walking pneumonia from the same cold as all of us have. Last night was awful! He didn’t sleep hardly at all. The coughing got worse, congestion got worse. He was up most of the night because of this. Still has a low grade fever. So exhausted, tired and lets face it and emotional wreck. I call them. Doctor tells me he was clear yesterday and Saturday so there’s no problem they have done everything for him they can and its a virus. I did in an emotional outburst from my lack of sleep get him to agree to a chest x-ray finally. Which he won’t get the results to till Monday… Meanwhile. This totally clear lung child finally vomited from coughing so hard this evening. Till then He didn’t seem to be able to be able to clear it. I’m frustrated, tired as last night has not been the only sleepless night(just the worst as I got NO sleep). So its now been over 3 weeks with this illness. I’m also have a background in respiratory and this is my third child. Not new to this sickness scene. I’m totally pissed off of their lack of care and that nothing could possibly change overnight. BTW I listened to him tonight. He’s not clear sounding.
