Maeve is one month, three days old! I can hardly believe it! The past month has been really great. My husband was home with me and the baby for four weeks. He’s so good with her! He gets less sleep than I do though. He’s always so eager to take care of the baby. She’s been a lot fussier lately. I took her to the doctor because she seems to have reflux. We are switching her formula to see if that helps. If it doesn’t, I’ll get her on a prescription. Poor kiddo. She sometimes screams her head off but I’m not sure if that’s normal newborn colic or reflux.
She smiles at us when we talk to her! So very darling! She loves our singing, music, her siblings, and reading books with us.
I’ve been doing really well. I’m on Wellbutrin and I haven’t really had any major mood swings or episodes. My ADHD symptoms aren’t really getting better though, so I might have to add on another medication. Bleh.
I have been the most relaxed I’ve been… well, ever since I can remember. Not being in school and not working and focusing on the house and the kids has been really good for me. I do go back to work at the beginning of June, so I’m dreading that a tiny bit, but we’ll have more money and we can stress a bit less about it. I also like working. I’m just worried about leaving my baby. I got to stay home with my other two, so I’m feeling sad that I can’t stay home with Maeve.
Not being in school has been a sanity saver. I’m kind of questioning wanting to get a PhD at this point, but I know that I do. I have to start paying on student loans now, and lemme tell ya, it’s not fun.
My main goals right now are to pay off a good amount of our debt, and save for a house. Daycare costs will hinder that for a few years, but we will have a bit left over every month after bills, so that will help.
