V-Day 2/16/2005

I overreacted as usual. Everything's fine and I didn't get used, at least not yet.

Mike explained it to me in a later IM that he had been exhausted that night and simply passed out on my bed.

We went out to dinner on Valentine's Day at this place called the Cortese resturant. We went there pretty late around 9 pm, since he didn't get out of class until late. He got me a dozen peach roses, a heart-shaped box of chocolates, and a teddy bear. I got him Japanese love rope, which bis basically similar to handcuffs, except it's rope...I couldn't find handcuffs at Spencer's and didn't have the balls to ask the cashier where I could get some. Mike loved his gift, which I liked. He had once asked me while we were in bed if I had handcuffs and I had said no (because I've never thought about using them). I thought it was pretty creative of me to remember that he wanted them.

Dinner was amazing. The food was awesome and the restaurant was really pretty. He was so adorable...He had basically said, "You know, we've been hanging out all semester and I was just wondering if you wanted to make it official." Or some derivation of that. It was just really cute. In my own immature way, I replied, "Nah I was just gonna use you for sex." He laughed and then asked, "So is that a yes?" It was just really sweet. We talked about his grad school work and about school stuff in general. It was really awesome to be able to have an intelligent conversation with someone that I REALLY REALLY like.

We went back to my house afterwards to watch a movie with Jennie. When he had come over earlier he had given both Jennie and Bridget chocolate roses, which I really appreciated.

We went to bed together after awhile, but nothing really happened, which I also greatly appreciated. I wasn't made to feel like I had to "pay him back" for him taking me out to dinner and for the presents. We cuddled and talked and then I passed out.

I purposely woke up late that Tuesday morning (and almost missed my art class in the process) because I seriously didn't want to leave his side. I basically never left his arms throughout the night and into the morning. And when I would roll over, he would scoot closer and throw his arm around me. At one point he was drawing lazy circles on my tummy, and pushing my shirt up higher when I looked at the clock. I knew he had work and I had to go to class. Class fucking sucks sometimes. I climbed on top of him and kissed him on the lips and thanked him for such a wonderful Valentine's Day. "You're so worth it" he said.

And p.s. he calls me "hunny bunny" now :o)
