Workwise, my Big Project is coming to a head, and of course because this is a licensing project, everything I do must be approved by the following entities:

  1. The Director of this area (Golden Boy)

  2. Boss - who prefers to stay out of it until he thinks about it and wants 12 things added to the project. He lets me take the brunt of the fallout from his bright ideas at the last second

  3. The license liaison company (aka. The guys with whom we signed the contract)

  4. Giant Corporation (the Big Brand Name I’m developing this line under)

I now have basically a WEEK to get it all done. Will I get it done? Will I die trying?

Giant Corporation is slllloooowwww to make decisions and Liaison Company is nearly just as bad. They keep telling me that I have to send EVERYTHING through them and then they don’t answer me until it’s fucking too late. I’m missing deadlines and having to ask for extensions because of these guys. I’m pissing people off because of these guys, How do I possibly keep from pissing people off? I have been managing projects for about 20 years now, so how is it that I still don’t know how to handle stuff like this and stress myself out?

More to follow, I’m sure. Off to conference call with Liaison Company.

xox,

P.S. I’m supposed to have a date tonight with a Bumble guy, but I feel too stressed out and haven’t heard from him. I wonder if he thinks that I’m supposed to make the plan? Well, guess what? I’m NOT making a plan, so if you don’t make one, I won’t either. UGH.
