Well hello internets and interwebs folks!!
I truly doubt if anyone I know will see this. Alas, I have already begun this blog with a lie.
This is NOT my first blog. I actually had an online diary via opendiary.com (RIP OD) for over 10 years and i also have a prosebox acct.
(whew) That feels GOOD to get it off my chest!!! Anyway, just a short intro into my blog. It’s called NerdCore Mom, obviously. And that’s cause that’s what I am. I am a nerd to my core and I also happen to be a mommy. I’ve been a nerd MUCH longer than I have been a mommy, but I feel as though I should share some things.
This blog is dedicated to my nerdiness, my mommyish-ness, and of course my wifely duties. I am not a young buck, by any means. As a matter of fact, where i leave in east bumblefuck NC, all the moms are WAY older or WAY younger.
that means I have like-negative friends.
(sigh)
its true. i do hunger for other mommies or daddies out there to be my friends. There is nothing like feeling even more uncool…huddled under a Dr.Who Tardis blanket....with a NOOK strapped to your hand trying to figure out life at 30 sans friends.
I feel like there is this whole rollercoaster of events that happen in life…and were all holding on for dear life…trying to maintain stability but still have fun. and this is NOT fun.
30 shouldn’t be living paycheck to paycheck. 30 shouldn’t be 2 jobs working 7 days a week.
but alas, this is my reality of 30.
onto a somewhat happier note: MOMMYHOOD
who out there just loves those lil snotnose fuckers to death. I certainly do. I love my kid. hes amazing. and annoying and wild and just....
hes the bees knees. he makes me crazy enough to want another. if i was super rich i would have like…8.
Seriously-you can just slap DUGGAR on my forehead-and get rid of all the racist/homophobic whatever they have going on.
anyway…this is just an intro blog. hopefully I can research some topics for discussion and include some helpful hints about parenting. I want this place to be a place of honesty-companionship-and non judgement. lets just keep it simple folks.
