I just have a quick rant that I have to get out before I go off on someone who doesn’t deserve it.
As you know, my boss is a bit difficult, right? But I’ve been pleased because he changed my job and made it so I can focus on my strengths for the good of the company. I’ve had a grand few weeks working on this new project and putting this line together.
Then he fires Negative C. Fine. The team knows that they are going to need to cover her bases. All good. Extra work, sure, but all will work out in the end, I’m sure.
Except I’m back to doing the stuff that I’m not good at - the financial stuff and even stuff I’ve never known how to do because I had a staff who did all that stuff…the nitty gritty detail work.
And even that’s fine - I can learn and perform this stuff as needed.
But the thing that gets my blood absolutely BOILING is this.
I’m putting this whole HUGE project together, right? This is the one that’s going to launch next month. I’ve put in extra hours and used my creativity and worked with this new corporation and gone through all the rigmarole of getting a project off the ground and I’ve LOVED it. It’s coming along nicely.
Yet, I have to work with the guy who Boss promoted as he is now the Director over this whole group…he’s NOT my boss, but he gets the credit for all of the stuff that I create, see?
And I can talk for hours and hours about all of the things that I’ve put together and all of the ideas and alllllll of the things that I’ve done…and I get eye-blinks.
Yet, when Golden Boy says ONE FUCKING THING....when he makes ONE TINY SUGGESTION… Boss looks at him with LOVING eyes and literally, LITERALLY calls him a GENIUS!!!
That’s right. Even if Golden Boy is simply repeating a sentence that I just said, Boss basically shits out flowers over how awesome HIS idea was.
I don’t know how long I can take this one, folks.
Rant over.

UPDATE: [bobbi01] Hit the nail completely on the head with this explanation of hepeating!! This sums up my experience to a T and there’s a NAME for it! In a way I feel better, but in another way, I still feel like shit that this exists. Man’s world for sure. Boss LOVES dudes, for sure. Women are simply people who do things for him - and never ever on the same level.
