Twitter: Upsetting in Book Five: Working Through the Maze 2018

This weekend, I have had two male colleagues and 1 female colleague tell me “With the success of Fifty Shades, clearly women fantasize about men with wealth and power dominating them. But try it in real life and these modern feminists make a big deal about it.”
I am, as always, horrified.

no doubt some women do want to be dominated by powerful wealthy men, but its never going to be for all women, and its not going to work for all the men.
I get so angry whenever i hear someone is like "Oh 50 shades is so popular, so women obviously want it"

I'm so glad I never bought into that series. I never thought what little of the first book I read was that thrilling anyway
