Friday Frenzy in These Foolish Things

Hello and happy Friday! Once again, from a work perspective, I’m feeling GOOD, people. I’m back in the office and rocking it after the business trip that left me absolutely invigorated!

THIS is what I’m talking about. This is what I have needed desperately. It’s so funny how just a tweak in what you’re doing makes all the difference in the world. I’m lucky and I know it and I have to keep this momentum going. I’m somehow on Boss’s good side, I think. But I also think it’s because he’s focused on other things right now.

And I still have some issues with certain things, but I’m actually working on a plan to at least alleviate the situation a bit. Obviously it’s not all sunshine and roses..but if I can keep things going the way things are going, this could get really interesting!

Yes, I’m back from the trip and it was great. I know I haven’t written since the Great Spanx Episode of 2018, but that’s because I’ve been busy working. And when I wasn’t working I was getting some much needed shut-eye. Plus, nothing as exciting as potentially having a make-out session in a TV producer’s hotel suite or showing the whole world my Spanx-covered ass has happened since I last wrote, so.

But it was a great trip. After Vegas I flew to Tennessee to visit an R+D center as well as a giant factory. It was exciting and inspiring in a different kind of way and I left feeling like I was in a really good place.

…and now it’s the end of the workday and I need to get going. See? When things are going well - even if super busy - the day flies.

So, off to pick up the dog at daycare and then home to…nothing. And that’s the sad thing. My only plans this weekend are to (1) take down the Christmas decorations (don’t JUDGE!), (2) start pulling stuff I want to sell at my apartment’s giant spring cleaning sell-off and donation drive (the perfect time to clear out clutter!), and (3) come into the office to get more stuff done. I have a HUGE recap from this week and I’ve actually put pressure on myself and scheduled it for Monday.

Am I crazy or what? Actually really looking forward to the de-cluttering. It’s been what? Two years since the Kondo-ing of my closet? Yeah, the rest of the apartment never got Kondo’d, so there you go.

The work stuff, yeah, I’m crazy. Have a GREAT weekend, everyone!

xox,
GS
