Happy Hump Day!
Wow. I miss humping.
I’m so buried deep in work it’s not even funny. Was in a meeting yesterday from 12:30pm until 7:30pm and spent all morning trying to prep for it, so that was all my yesterday. It was a fast day, so it actually made that day easier because I basically ate two snacks in the whole day. I actually thought we’d be working even later, but Boss and Boss Jr. had to leave at around that time.
Was really too dead to do anything last night except take the dog out for a quick potty break and send out our brunch club invitation (first one of 2018 - yeah!!!) and then go to bed. My sleep tracker (aka fitbit) says that I fell asleep at 9:18. Awesome!
So now up and ready to tackle Wednesday. TONS to do, but it’s exciting stuff to me, so that makes me happy. Know what else makes me happy? NOT being Negative C’s boss!!! I still have to deal with her but nothing like what it used to be.
I’m prepping to go to a big trade show in Las Vegas this weekend and then off to an R+D technology center and manufacturing plant in Tennessee next week. I LOVE this kind of work, you guys. I really gotta stay on top of this game. I know Boss is watching closely, but I’m also sooooo happy to get to get out of the office and do this stuff.
Anyway, I’m so busy prepping and Joe Schmo wants to go out on Saturday night and I want to cancel since I’m leaving for Vegas early on Sunday. I think I should at least postpone. Clearly I wasn’t into it last Friday - what makes me think it will be any better? It won’t. We all know this.
But here’s the thing: I NEED TO GET OUT!! I need to be out and social. Since I’ve been back from Argentina, I haven’t really been out except for with Joe Schmo. Oh, and a couple of other things - maybe it’s not so bad. I got to see an old college suitemate last week too, and I met her at this gorgeous brand new champagne bar…
But anyway, I’m going to go out with Maria on Friday. I guess it’s not that I haven’t been doing social stuff. Hm. I don’t need to go out with Joe Schmo at all. I’m going to cancel. There. That’s that. Good.
Okay. Now off to the races. Everyone have a great Wednesday!
