Feces hole? in A small but passable life.

Yesterday would’ve been a good day to go to the pool since it had warmed up to 82 degrees. But it was Sunday and I knew it would be crowded. When the old lounge chairs were swapped out by the new chairs apparently the total number had declined. Maybe they’ll purchase more. Anyway I just sat here.

And today I decided to take a pass on the pool time again. It was cooler today. Only 75 degrees.

Mom wanted to go out for dinner this afternoon so we went to our favorite Mexican place. Daughter rang my phone while I was there. Mom strongly disapproves on yapping on a phone while at a restaurant so Daughter said she’d call back later.

When I got back here I got online and found the temperature back in the Ozark’s. It was 12 degrees with a wind chill of -1. Wow. It was 74 degrees here.

I tried to find a certain movie to watch online last night and had no luck. I did watch the latest episode of Shameless. Too good.

Another PB’er brought up a topic, curious about a definition. So, of course, I googled it. That’s what we do, right?

Here it is:

shithole: an extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant place.

Hmm, Guymon, Oklahoma? Perryton, Texas? I could probably list a few other places. But yeah, shithole.

I think the most obnoxious would be the places permanently permeated with the odor of cowshit, pigshit, or chickenshit. That is probably the original source of the moniker “shithole”.

Anyway, tomorrow, if I don’t make it to the pool maybe I can make it to the shower house. We’ll see.

Feces hole? That really doesn’t sound proper, eh?

My Grandpa called outhouses that ( out of the hearing of my Grandmother of course.)
