Adventure Time in Let's talk about it.

So, I’ve recently became semi-obsessed with Adventure Time, mostly because all of the seasons are on Hulu and I’ve had quite a bit of time off work, which of course I put to good use by binge watching shows online.
Aaaaanyways, I’ve been thinking and reading about different theories about the show and wonder what other people think about it. My favorite is the idea that Finn is actually living in a post-apocolyptic/ futuristic/ other society where there are an infinite amount of species, human being just one and not the majority, hence why they call him “Finn the human”. I just find it so intriguing to think of the backstory there..... like how did he just randomly come to live in this giant tree house with a shape/size shifting dog, like where are his parents and how did he get here? Are they even on “earth”? Or is this a whole other world?
Or, what if this is all just a hallucination or in his mind and he is actually just a normal little boy and everything and everyone is just a creation of his imagination?
Or what if it’s a mental condition where he’s actually living in a normal world but he sees and hears things that aren’t really there and we are seeing things through his mind?
I don’t know..... any other thoughts or ideas? I would love to hear what you think!
