New Year in 2018

Happy New Year everyone!

One of my resolutions is to write here more often, to document the everyday. So here goes…

Christmas was a quiet one for us, we spent it with mine and Tom’s family over the three days, worked 3 days last week and then had a quiet night last night after a curry out with Tom’s mum and Dave.

Really we are waiting for tomorrow in the hope there will be some house movement as obviously solicitors and estate agents are closed over the holiday period. Fingers crossed!

It has been okay living with my parents. There were some initial wobbles (because you know me and mum) but they have ironed out as we have all gotten into new routines. It takes us slightly longer to get to work from here but it has gotten us prepared for the longer commute from our house. We will have to see how long either of us stay in our current jobs, although Tom is fortunate that Sony have an office in Basingstoke so he can transfer there which is maybe 10minutes away. It’s not so for me, I may apply for a job coming up at the Woking team (as they now come under the same NHS trust as us) or look for a job nearer home. Lots will depend on if we manage to get pregnant I think.

And we can’t start those plans just yet due to the cruise we are going on in July as you cannot be more than 24 weeks pregnant by the end of the cruise. I realise it won’t happen that quickly but we can’t take the risk! But I have come off the pill to get my cycles into some form of normal and am starting to track my cycle so we can see what happens.

Hopefully a very exciting year for us. I just can’t wait to get into our house and make it our home :)
