It took me all day to finish my research report. And when I was finished, I finessed it some more!
That’s the danger of scheduling a presentation at 4pm - you know you can always do more and more. But I’m glad I did because I got some excellent kudos at the end - and that’s what it’s all about - for me anyway.
So. Happy to have that one done. Many more to follow! This is what give me life…this is my passion. It’s a funny one, too, because I stress over this stuff so much and I feel like it almost comes off as something very simple. But again, that’s what my job is for - to provide simple solutions for complicated stuff.
After work, I met up with Steve McQueen. He had my sunglasses! …and I’m feeling like he has the intention of putting me in the friend zone. And I suppose that’s okay as long as I know that’s what it’s all about.
We had two drinks and shot the shit like buddies and then he had to get home to his son and then some work to finish.
I get it now. The guy is super duper duper busy. It sounds as if he’s working 5 or 6 gigs at this point and trying to juggle his last kid’s last part of high school and trying to get him off to college. He kept saying stuff like, he’s only going to have his youngest for six more months. He sounded almost melancholy.
And all the while telling me about so many, many, many things he’s working on. There are truly not enough hours in the day. The guy literally squeezed me into his day. I’m not saying that as a good thing or a negative thing - it’s simply what it is.
So I was home before 9, walked the dog and now I’m nearly ready for bed. It’s been a good day…a very busy and exhausting one, but good nonetheless.
I’m learning things and I’m feeling okay for now. …for now.
I got those damn glasses!
