NJM 20 - Well, That Was Super Easy in These Foolish Things

Guess what? After all of that nonsense I wrote yesterday and over the past few days, I thought, what do I have to lose? Nothing.

So I bit the bullet and invited Steve McQueen to the Holiday Party at CEO’s house. Guess what? It was easy and he was super nice and said, “Sure I’ll go!”

We had a very simple and straightforward couple of texts about it - and a couple of references to:

and then I talked with him on the phone at lunchtime…and voila! A date was made.

Have I been simply crazy-making in my own head? Probably.

But I also think that a lot could happen between now and the party, so I’ll believe it when I see it.

We’re also trying to get together at some point this week, but I’m not sure if we can pull that off, what with Thanksgiving, his kids coming in from college, our respective celebrations and me working on Black Friday (as the shopping part is more research for my work). Perhaps we can see each other on Friday night? Suppose we’ll see.

Anyway, who the hell knows what’s up and what’s down this week. It’s a really odd week for work and I need to get a LOT done during this holiday. Hate that it has to be stressful and busy, but I’m going to try to mix in some fun here and there.

I’m trying not to be super excited, but I am. I have lots to look forward to…parties, the holidays and the Big End-of-the-Year VACATION!!

Until later!

GS

I read an article a while back about a study performed on the lives of women of East and West Germany before and after the wall fell. East German women reported their lives improved in their merge with the west in all respects save one. The new focus on money, work and capitalism left them too tired and distracted to have good relationships and therefore good sex. This was a complaint heard from women on both sides of the wall over and again. No time means no sex is the lesson to be learned, either that or capitalism gives you high quality toilet paper but socialism makes you cum.

Ha! I completely understand this!

If he cancels on you, you have to promise me you'll never speak to him again.
