NJM 17 - On Lockdown in These Foolish Things

So, you know it’s pretty serious when you go into a company-wide meeting and there is an announcement that there’s a disgruntled employee who was fired this morning and now the building is on lockdown and extra protection has been called.
Now, my company has a HUGE manufacturing facility that is about a 10 minute drive away and the dude was working in that building, but they sent everyone in the company a photo and the name of the guy as well as his car information. They told us that if we see him to IMMEDIATELY call 911 - don’t even wait to tell a supervisor, just get that dude out of here!
Yikes.
I’ve also put myself on lockdown tonight. I’m too tired to do ANY-thing.
And who should actually text to see if I want to have dinner tonight?
That’s right. Mr. McQueen.
I told him no, and asked him if he’d be available to do brunch on Sunday instead. He finally texted me back, saying, “Brunch on Sunday sounds great! Apologies for such a late ask…“
Look - if you want to do shit, you gotta lock some shit down.
Okay. Off to give a presentation to my new team and then avoid any active shooters (I only say that halfway tongue-in-cheek) and then go home and to bed.
xox,
GS

I always half expected it when I was at BofA. Thankfully, it never happened.
