Halloween went off without a hitch!

I was able to leave work early and go to Cannon’s school to bring snacks and visit him at his class party. I love doing that stuff! I love interacting with his teacher and classmates and seeing Cannon so happy when I walk into the classroom is great. I’m going to try really hard to get a remote position or a very flexible position when I graduate.

We had a mini party at the house (mostly just snacks and music as a family), then we took all of the kids trick-or-treating but we only got to go for about 30 minutes because it was 40 degrees outside and the kids were cold. We had hot chocolate afterwards and I managed to get them to bed on time.

Yesterday I had a migraine and today I’m full-on sick with a cold, so I left work at my usual time instead of staying late like I planned. I just had some wonton soup and I’m in bed watching Hulu. Thank goodness I was able to do this today. I feel horrible without any cold medicine! I couldn’t sleep last night and I woke up early because I couldn’t breathe through my nose and kept sneezing and coughing.

I just hope no one in my house gets sick.
