NJM 7 - Up In the Air in These Foolish Things

Just barely starting to feel human again. I now realize that Steve McQueen and I drank waaaaaayyyyy too much on Sunday afternoon/night. Like, WAY TOO MUCH.

I was a waste at work yesterday and I need to get a move on. There’s so much to do in this new role and I’m feeling two days behind because I took the day off on Friday to go to a doc appointment and then do some much-needed shopping (new boots!! It’s that time of year!).

Anyway, work is super busy in my current/new role. I also haven’t heard anything from the other company, which makes me feel like an offer is not imminent. Guessing salary ask was too high? Who knows. I’m going to give the president a few more days and probably get back in touch with her. I’m also trying to get together with the other woman I know at the office for lunch to see if I can get a read from her on what’s going on.

Now that my birthday and Halloween are over, it feels like the holidays already. This year has whizzed by and I don’t even know what happened. I’ve got some decor ideas I’m working on (love to decorate during the holidays!), and maybe it will spark an inspiration to have another champagne party at my place - although I may not ever drink bubbly again after Sunday night. Uggghhh.

Not sure what else to say today. I’ve been reading back over old NoJoMo entries - the best ones are from my China trip two years ago when I met the hot Icelandic pilots! It was a tough trip, but sure was fun to have the Vikings to play with after the big meetings!

I may be going to China again for various reasons here at work, but my guess is that I’ll be going in January, maybe? I think I need a change of scenery, and soon. I’m feeling the itch.

Thankfully, Argentina is now around the corner. I am happy to have something to look forward to…something definite, not up in the air, like my relationship status - HA!

(That’s a joke, kind of)

xox,
GS
