An Unbelievable Turn of Events in These Foolish Things

I’m still at the office. I went in for my annual review, expecting to get pummeled and ripped to shreds. I was expecting to start practicing my resignation speech. I was expecting to have to defend my position and what I’ve done all year.
Instead, I’ve been assigned a new job - essentially the job I’ve ALWAYS wanted with this company. It still requires working with Boss, Neg. C. and Easy E., among others, but in a very different capacity! Neither Neg. C. nor Easy E. will report to me, so they can take the negative energy elsewhere.
It will be an autonomous role and literally all about everything that I have passion for with nearly all of the current pain points removed. Will it still be a challenge? Sure. But in a totally different way.
You guys, I can’t really explain to you what a GOOD thing this is. I can’t even tell you how excited I am about the possibilities!
Now what will I do if an offer comes through from the other company??!!
