Despite all the good words, intentions, and efforts of all the local car guys, I’m not driving it.

Yes, the gauge read complete discharge. Yes, it started once. Yes, it overheated the trickle charger. Yes, AAA told us they were having troubles with this made for Chevy batteries. Yes, bot G and the AAA guy agreed that it was probably the alternator. Yes, out long time mechanic told me, and showed me, that it was charging to manufacturers specs. Yes, it’s still discharging.

No, I am not driving it until it is fixed, and I am not happy about it.

  • Himself: Made an appointment about his torn meniscus. Shopped for the BBQ that’s going to be held in the dark.

  • Herself: Found a new author. Showering an off to work.

  • Captain Poolie: Meeting with her board today.

  • Gratitude’s: That I’m perky today.

Being perky when standing your ground and not driving it? Hats off to you!

Thanks, and that's my favorite ride too.

An acquaintance of mine had this problem on his Dodge PT Cruiser.
It turned out to be a short in the headlight switch - even with the lights all off, it was draining the battery.

I agree that it's acting like a short. But I am a girl. Grrrrrrrrrrrl.

Not to sound creepy or anything, but I know right where that photo was taken. I was there on Monday.

MageB Pies on a Carousel ⋅ September 27, 2017

Well, now you know exactly what my ride looks like. :)

I also refuse to drive my car unless it's working perfectly !

NOthing more frustrating than recurring car problems in the car-centric city. Hope it is solved soon.

MageB Zipster ⋅ September 28, 2017

Meanwhile, there it sits. We agree it is a short.

Electrical problems seem to be the worst ones to track down.
