unfinished requiem

Only a starscape –
Only the Best,
Only a lifetime
Can decipher the text.

Some without purpose
Most without angst –
A trance’s only venture,
Breathing life into the reigns.

No summers,
No flowers.
No sunshine
No rains.

Why?
The bother seems meek.
Why?
The outcome seems bleak.

Yellow skies force winter’s cold;
Tomorrow’s bite
Eats at me today.
Blink. Force acceptance of the light.
