Reflected
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every time we speak
I see myself reflected.
It’s unnerving how just one voice
Brings me out of myself.
A mirror image in soul
Brings forth a shallow light;
A light that only glistens
Without flourishing it’s wealth.
Maybe it’s time to come home
Where I can breath in my own room.
Only to look into you
And see my reflection loom.
Whether now, today,
Or the next day
We’ll always share a past
Reflected by our own way.
A special friend
That I’ll cherish dearly
Will remain within
As a reflection of my soul’s essense.
**notes: There is a very abnormal rhyme scheme here. Most of my writings as of late don’t compose any COMMON rhyme scheme. The flow is there – it’s all in how you read it. Read it aloud and you’ll feel it. (hint, it’s not ABCA or anything like that. Think of a wider scheme. :P – Joe
