Music
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Music is an emotion hidden deep inside;
 Lots of people hear it, but THEY let it slide.
Some people take it seriously, such as myself;
 Others take it lightly, and store on their shelf.
Music can make you happy;
 Music can make you sad.
Music means life to me;
 Even when it’s bad.
Music can touch your life with glee,
 At times when you’re depressed;
Music shows emotional differences,
 When you are feeling calm and even stressed.
Let you music come straight from your heart;
 Let it fill you with happiness - or tear you apart.
Music is more than black dots on a page;
It is a feeling of hope or sudden rage.
Music can show others how you are feeling;
 Music can lead your way.
Listen to what I am yielding;
 And let nothing stand in your way.
I wrote this when I was coping with a pretty serious illness and all I had to turn to, in my mind was music. It’s a little hokey, but hey, I was 14 years old.
