Fleeting Majesty

Hold your head
Up high, my friend.
Open your jacket
To accept the wind.

To sweep you away,
The trick I’ll find;
Are you understanding?
No? Then nevermind.

“It’s not fair,” you say “You can’t break that rule.”
Don’t be fleeting, my dear,
Everything is cool.

Sleepless tonight,
Another one down.
Take me away soon ‘Fore I pass and fall down.

Consume me now
To pull down my walls;
Push closed my eyes –
Filter me down winding halls.

Favor my “soft side,”
That others don’t see.
Encourage my growing love
To bring you closer to me.
