A Heart’s Embrace

When two hearts hold hands,
They open to life.
They fold into one
And release all their strife.

When two hearts embrace,
They fill up inside;
With love and happiness
That cannot hide.

I will one day know of this embrace.
I will one day have my heart race.
Again from the past another doth pry.
Again from the past another doth cry.

Someday in the future
I’ll know my fate.
I’ll open up again
And and all will be straight.

Until that day comes,
I’ll sit back and wonder.
I see on the distance
A love’s distant thunder.
