I cringe whenever I watch back vlogs I’ve made HA! God, I suck bigtime. No Youtuber career for this little black duck, I tell ya what.

Yeah, I made that video after my first full day of walking. I saw a lot. I’ll let my pictures tell the story. I’m not even very good at taking photos of interesting things. Like, I probably missed half of the ‘touristy’ things to take photos of whilst I was there. I felt like I was on vacation, so that’s good to just relax.

The worst part of travel is the transiting. I hate it! And AirAsia sure is a strange airline. But their landings were great. Nowhere near as rough as the Aussie pilots :P Because they are a Malaysian airline, all the menu prices are in that currency, so if you pay cash, you get your change back in MYR. Didn’t matter that the plane was traveling between Australia and New Zealand.
I used a card on my trip back to try some of the food. All weird, cooked Asian (funny that) dishes, so the whole plane smells like an Asian restaurant. And Asians are SO messy. I think I already mentioned this in the previous entry, not sure, but wow, there was a mess anywhere before the inflight service even began. The plane ride there felt like a long time, but it felt short of the way back because I’d gotten rid of the last of my physical NZ currency on a book at the airport, which I was engrossed in on the plane. I was seated next to a woman and her kid, and the husband stood next to them for a fair bit of the flight. He said to me that I was seated next to him on the flight to Auckland, and now here his family were, on the same flight back. Crazy! I guess it can happen.

Anyway, where was I? Auckland. Yeah, great city, HUGE harbour, pretty much water everywhere. I caught a train to the Eastern suburbs on my 2nd day there and the tracks went between huge waterways. My reasoning for choosing to go East was I figured richer people probably lived out that direction lol. Might be some nice places to take photos of. I just enjoyed the scenery out of the windows. The train smelled like it had been full of cattle all day. Like a distinct salesyard scent. Weird.
I did a hell of a lot of walking, I know that much. I should have worn more comfortable shoes, but I wore the same ones I got around Europe in, and they are holding up well.
A chick complimented me on my lion shirt that I’m wearing in one of the photos below, so that was nice. I didn’t really talk to anyone else.

I did hook up with one guy though, on my first night there. A random guy off Hornet. He was really well built and just wanted to give me a hand and blowjob. Wasn’t complaining at all. He didn’t want me to get him off in return though. Meh. If anyone wants to see what he looked like, PM me on facebook.

Anyway, my pics are kind of random. You know me by now. I’ve put them into grids so as not to go on forever, otherwise there’d be like 50 photos, so it’s cut down to 9 grids.

Photo 1: I’d never heard of ‘Pinky’ before, so of course I had to try that. Just screenshotted what the weather was like, but it cleared. I never left the hotel before 1pm each day haha, but I was up pretty late. Once was just watching an Instagram Live feed from a hottie back in Sydney. He replied to one of my comments lol. I’m so lame!
Then there’s a shot from my balcony (there’s a few of that over the few days I was there) and a random shot of a train station (boring!)

Photo 2: I took a photo of the price of fuel. Given the exchange rate, it’s still very expensive, and I thought Australian fuel was pricey. Geez!
Then some shots of my walk toward a duck pond.alt text

Photo 3: More walking

Photo 4: Queens Wharf. Had to get an ‘artsy’ shot of the NZ flag, which looks better on my Instagram.

Photo 5: More. I was impressed at the sculpture of all the rocks stacked up high.

Photo 6: The transit hub (Britomart) and a welcoming rainbow as I made my way to the end of the Eastern line.

Photo 7: Manakau and Auckland Skytower

Photo 8: This is my Monday walk, my final full-day in Auckland. I just walked and walked randomly along streets I hadn’t been to before and ended up in a semi-rural area LOL. Luckily I had gotten my NZ phone credit to work by then so Google Maps helped me find my way out again. Even so, I could see the Skytower in the distance and just knew to make my way back toward it.
The horse was adorable and was banging itself against the bendy fence to try and reach the fresh grass just out of it’s reach. I felt like it was wondering why the hell I was there.

Photo 9: As I was making my way back on random side streets and such, I saw a cat in the distance so took a pic of it before it ran away, but instead it came right up to me and wanted pats and cuddles and purrs and circled it’s way around my legs. So cute. So hard to try and get a decent selfie with it haha. I friggin love friendly kittys!
I heard it’s illegal to take photos of legal tender (Umm, okay then) but I wanted to get a pic of the colourful money (like we have!) before I spent it :)

Umm yeah, found my way there and got back to the airport in time. I decided on the last day to catch a Western line train and I caught it out as far as a Westfield shopping centre in Henderson before deciding to head back. I didn’t want to risk being close to missing the flight and I was paranoid that anything could happen (traffic jam etc etc), so I left at like 2:30pm even though the flight wasn’t until 7pm haha.
I felt like I saw a lot of it, and more than likely a lot that I didn’t. I forgot to upload the pics from my Snapchat that I saved too - here’s those ones.
Excuse my horrible fucking hair.alt text

And I had to do a final vlog, as I do in new places :)

I had a final lunch inside a cafe and was surprised when I heard a bird chirping lol. Too cute!

And that’s my short NZ (well, Auckland anyway) trip :)

I haven't been to Auckland for 25 years. I wonder if I'd recognise the place now?
