It's Not You, It's Me (....Or is it the other way around?) in Can winter just be over?? (Jan-March 2014)

So I've officially given up on online dating. All three accounts deactivated. LOL.

Oh it wasn't a horrible experience or anything. I'm actually glad I gave it another shot because I now know more than ever that this is not how I want to meet a guy. It was flattering to get messages from guys telling me that, while they didn't think we were meant for each other because of our different beliefs, they admired me. They could tell I knew what I want. That to me meant more than them saying they found me 'sexy' or 'cute'.

I had the decency to tell this one guy I was conversing with that I was deactivating my profile, and that it wasn't anything personal against him- I just didn't feel like online dating was working for me. Well, he took that badly, calling me sexist and shallow, grading him like a piece of meat and not giving him a fair chance. Haha wow. To him I said "thanks for confirming my suspicions about you- goodbye!" Ok so it was a blow to his ego maybe but no need to lash out and be mean about it. He said he could see why my ex left me. Ha! I left HIM. Shows how much he knows. Goodbye and good riddance.

I had my moment of feeling guilty- maybe I was being too hasty and not giving him a fair chance? No. I knew enough of him to know he wasn't what I was looking for and I don't need to justify that to anyone. Right? If others could respect me and my wishes, then so could he. He just wasn't mature enough.

So that's one chapter closed. I'm going to embrace this time... I've been reading the book of Ecclesiastes and it's been speaking so much to me. There really is a season and a time for everything (Sing it now: To everything, turn turn turn! LOL). I may not be happy with the season I'm in but it's where I'm supposed to be at this moment. I'm a single mom and that's ok. My time for love will come! <3 <3 <3
