No Poo Movement?

I was reading about this today. Not using shampoo. I joined a Facebook group for it.

It was talking about how shampoo strips your hair of natural oils. That using no shampoo has this awkward adjustment period but eventually your hair can be shiny and nice once it's weaned itself off not using shampoo?

I don't know though about mine. My hair gets oily and greasy fast. So fast that I have to wash it almost daily! Ugh...

It was interesting though to read about making your own dry shampoo out of arrowroot (whatever that is) and for brunettes cocoa powder. Than using an old make up brush to apply it.

I've heard of dry shampoo and have always wanted to try it. But making my own sounds more natural and appealing if it works. I hear that the dry shampoos and kind of expensive and that they also add a lot of other chemicals. I mean the cocoa powder WOULD make my hair smell nice as well.... I just don't know if it will work.

But I wanna try it. I am very much interested in anything cheap and convenient to use....

I signed up for an expressive arts group today for women who have experienced trauma. I have done a group with them before and I loved the facilitators and one of them did actually change my life as she got me an apartment! The one bedroom that I had before. So I feel it would be a good place to express and heal again.

I am doing this employment program right now but having something else as well helps as I wanna spread myself thinner and expose myself to other people and opportunies.

I've had it with just relying heavily on one person and thing. I am a huge fan of exploring and engaging with a variety of different things.

Maybe that's where the gypsy roots come from. ;)

And why my friends have also been so diverse in race culture gender places.

I am all about change and differences and learning about different things and cultures.

Many of my friends limit themselves to their own crowd or race or tastes. It's like they strongly identify with their music tastes and culture and sometimes shun/think they are better than/or are scared of anything different. And this applies to everyone black white female males I've known.

I was never like that. Life's too short. You can't choose all the time who and what you fall in love with.

Although I still have a lot of my small town roots. I am not always completely comfortable yet with the things I see because I was never exposed to them but I don't see that be a reason why I don't try to learn or engage or push through my feelings of discomfort.

Anyways things are looking up.

The future is boundless. :)
