I’m sitting in the waiting room at the Obgyn - just a check up on my periods being heavy and extremely painful, as well as review my birth control.

I had to fill out a form and a lot of it was about family history. I knew my family had quite a lot but I didn’t realize how much. On both sides cervical cancer resulting in full hystercotomy (sp?). One was my grandma at age 27, the other my cousin (on opposite side of family) at 37. There are a few other people with other issues as well.

I’ve never felt pressure to have kids or that time was limited. Today, I’m feeling it a little. I think it’s why I kind of want to get the marriage on the way so we can start that process. I’m going to see about fertility testing , Scott is also going to get it done as well. He was beat up when he was younger, down there was also kicked quite a bit.

I am not rushing out to have babies, but it is better we be prepared and make sure we are being proactive.

Funny how age starts to sneak up on you in mysterious ways.
