MAKING A RECORD in Postcards 4

I was such a functional human yesterday. Never before have I attended so carefully to the things that needed to get done. Laundry, gym, more laundry, menu planning and grocery shopping while doing more laundry. That sort of thing.
I’ve been a totally unconscious slob my whole life. Above that sort of thing. LOL In the Army, I learned to fake it. Now at almost 75, I can get through these domesticities with only groans and some degree of consciousness while blowing my nose. Achoooooo!
Today’s domesticities include making the bed. I like to see the bedroom with a made bed. Dishes. Momentarily whipping them into the dishwasher. After all that, I want to make a quick photographic record of the house….an inventory. I’ve been planning this for a while, and I keep putting it off. In case there is a disaster insurance companies appreciate this sort of thing. I had a disaster once. I haven’t done an inventory here in a few years, and it is time.
Then it is pin the gold stuff to G’s Comic Con costume…and yes, our badges came yesterday. Maybe I will have time to go buy fabric for my costume. Or maybe Thursday.
- Himself: All his parts are doing pretty good today. Sticking to his low carb diet carefully.
- Herself: Last night a small steak and Greek Salad. Tonight Pork chops with a fruit salsa and sweet potato fries. Not really fried. Yes, I did the research.
- Reading: Nothing. I’ll go to the library.
- Gratitude’s: Glad of the continuing ugly grey skies that are keeping us cool. LOL

I cheat on the bed-making. I have sheets and blankets all made up, but just sleep on top of it in Summer and use an extra blanket in Winter.
I get up in the morning, smooth it out and voila!

Getting back into doing all that weighs on my mind as I'm the only one doing it and I'm still under par. I like to see made beds, too - especially at the moment, since I'm using a hospital bed in the living room.

My dusting skills have gone right downhill lately but I'm learning to live with it😊 I like the colours in your kitchen. Love seeing other diarists' abodes so look forward to more pics!
