On Keeping It Together in These Foolish Things

Oscar Buzz noted on my PB entry yesterday and included an article about bad managers, and it got me thinking. Sure, maybe some of my issues stem from having a boss who doesn’t have my back and is NEVER supportive, but I think just as much of it may be coming from me - from my own fears and judgment and issues. Yes, I have a ton to get done today and it’s going to be hectic and stressful, but I’m just going to have to take it in calm strides, get done what I can get done, and know that I’ve done my best. The line in the article that got me the most was this:

The best way to work around a fearful manager is to notice your own fear and trust as those waves swell and crash throughout the day. The more you stay out of the fear moshpit yourself and role model the trusting behavior you hope your boss will emulate, the calmer you will be. You will stay in control of your emotions, just where you want to be!

Today I will attempt to keep it all together and get as much done as I can.

Also, my horoscope for today calls for getting out into the limelight, expressing myself, being social and asking questions to be much more engaged.

I’ve had a great morning so far - worked out, dressed up, got a couple of emails out and have planned most of my day. I’m looking forward to getting as much done as I can at work today and then fancy cocktails tonight!

How’s your day looking?

xox,
GS
