Whole Life Challenge - Journaling Week in These Foolish Things

As part of my Whole Life Challenge (I’m on week 7 of the 8 week challenge), we get a weekly lifestyle challenge. One week we were supposed to meditate, one week we would write three goals for our life out every day, last week we were supposed to photograph something we thought was beautiful every day…

This week’s challenge is to journal for 10 minutes a day. Now. You’re supposed to do this longhand on paper, but I figured (and I totally understand the logic of writing it out longhand), why not kill two birds with one stone here. Just journal every day - which I would love to do every day anyway. November proves that I CAN do it. Why don’t I just DO IT?

Regardless, I’m going to do my 10 minutes here. Now.

Then I’m going to get to cleaning the apartment.

Then I’m going to meet a Tinder dude this afternoon for a walk with the dog! I feel a RAD coming on for my next journal entry!

Brunch club was yesterday, and it was really wonderful. I’ve missed it. We didn’t do one for February because [Athena] was in Africa. So we did our March one on the first Saturday (yesterday). The woman who [Athena] went to Africa with attended our brunch, and now I’m all charged up about potentially going to the Serengeti for The Migration!! This would be my BIG 50th Birthday gift to myself…and my friend Maria, who also came to brunch and is also having a milestone birthday this year, might do this with me! This would be absolutely amazing and I have many thoughts about this. More to follow.

Regarding going to California to visit the job potential, thank you for all of the advice. I’m going to go and make it a really good trip. It’s going to be fast and furious as I will fly in on Friday afternoon, do a meet and greet and BBQ dinner and then fly back at 6am on Saturday morning. But it will also help me pull my thoughts together on what I want to do with my life from here on out. Fred (my “friend”) has asked me to basically make a presentation to the owner of the company and the president and COO - which, fine, this will be another exercise in getting my shit together. And if I don’t use it with this company, I can use the presentation to help me get a different gig.

How to angle this??

Okay, journaling time is up. Time to clean house and get ready for my date!

xox,
GS
