No word from The Tree in a couple of days now. So weird. He’s in and then out. This is too much trouble. This relationship is clearly not bearing fruit. Appears the juice is not worth the squeeze. Ha! [/fruit jokes]

Just had a meeting with the woman who got the job I had interviewed for internally at my company. She had been working for the giant corporation I used to work for years ago. We know a LOT of the same people, and I enjoyed talking with her about that. Do you remember, I got fired from this company? She told me of all the dozens of people who just got let go - many of them from my time. Seems it was finally their time. Anyway, she seems nice and I understand why she was chosen over me. I think my boss had a lot to do with it. I think they want me to keep doing what I’m doing. I get it, but it doesn’t mean I like it.

Regarding the sale of the company, investors will start doing walk-throughs at our office this week. This is a good sign that we’ll sell sooner than later. After that, I don’t know what will happen. I don’t know how a sale works.

Plans are finalized for me to go visit this potential new company. I fly to CA on Friday, April 7th - to the owner’s ranch. He’s having a barbeque! I’m actually looking forward to this. I’ll meet the owner, see the ranch and the office, talk with him/them about the opportunity and then fly back here at 6am on Saturday morning! Whirlwind, but exciting. I haven’t had something like this in the works in a long, long time. It’s a good feeling. I hope I can work something out.

Need to start finalizing plans for my vacations this year as well. I’m still thinking Argentina over Christmas (hoping [EB] is still interested?!), but before that, I have my BIG 50th BD to plan! I’m thinking maybe a Prosecco tour through Italy? Cooking classes? OR…something cool in the US? You know how much I love Napa/Sonoma, but I’m not thinking I want to do that solo. A spa? An adventure? What should I do?? You know I love wine tasting; you know I like learning cooking techniques; you know I love walking/exploring new places. Hm. Time to narrow down and get booked. Thinking, thinking…

Whoops. I got run. Meetings for the rest of the day. But remind me to write about the Tinder experience I JUST had over my lunch break! CRAZY stuff.
