Leafing Through... in These Foolish Things

Yesterday, as I was leaving the office, I sent a text to The Tree just to let him know I was thinking about him. Since he’s been back in my life (ha, the last few days), he’s actually put in a lot of effort to let me know that he’s interested, so I didn’t want to play TOO coy, you know?

Anyway, it was such a beautiful day that I was telling him that he really needed to get outside and get some fresh air.

A few texts later and he was on his way to my apartment so that we could walk the dog together! He was SUCH a good sport to walk with us (the dog and me) and let us do all of our little quirky walk things in our little quirky ways.

We walked through downtown to the city park and around the museum and the symphony and the opera house and through a restaurant area. I named the buildings as we walked past and noted the famous architects who designed the unique buildings. We walked a long way! And talked…and he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me at EVERY stoplight and crosswalk!

Then, something funny. While we were walking, the dog kept getting under his feet. It’s just something that she does when we’re walking with someone else. She used to get under the Bulldog’s feet and she does it with Athena sometimes too. Anyway, she kept getting under his feet, and he started telling me that she’ll be sorry when this big TREE falls on top of her!

OMG. I’m always, always paranoid that the people in my life can read my journal – yet I keep it public for some reason. My own fault if he’s reading…it’s just how I roll!

Anyway, I can’t quite figure him out, but I’m going to go with it – until and if he starts being wishy-washy about the plans again or something else. I find him so attractive and I feel somehow protected when I’m with him. The way he wraps his loooonnnnggg arms around me is so, so comforting!

Hopes are up for Saturday night.

xox,
