As we sit, Ian says he is entering the land of his people (especially the accent). I seem to love the east coast men who transplanted westwards 20 years ago.

I feel like i am still processing this movie, even though i saw it Monday.

Quiet. Slow. Sad. Gorgeous music. “astonishing honesty” (a Seattle Times critic’s words)

Still. That’s what Casey Affleck personifies. Stillness, but with a storm within.

The use of cinematography was stunning. Rain, snow, ocean…it made me want to be there (and i was watching it during Portland’s storm of the century) in the cold.

Ah. time to go back and be a teacher.

I enjoyed it.
We saw Hidden Figures this weekend and thought it was fantastic too.
