WITH HEAT in Postcards 4

After weeks of illness and days of running around like a chicken with its head cut off, I took life easy yesterday. We ate simply. I took a nap after lunch. He played hours of computer games. I took a bath. I even, with some coaching, got out of the tub.

It was a little scary coming home from the meeting tho. Pouring rain, and we were inside the cloud too. Seeing the headlights against the rain and fog was an interesting juxtaposition. A warm house and bed awaited us. We aren’t used to that after years of living without heat.

  • Himself: Getting ready to be 29 again. Driving north in the rain tonight.

  • Herself: Needd to work on my shoulder strength before the next bath. Today: Laundry, groceries, cooking, dishes, and doing the receipts at the store.

  • Reading: An older Dana Stabenow.

  • Gratitudes: That bath the first in forever.

I love the paint colour in your bathroom...is it a grey or a green? I haven't sat down in a bathtub for awhile, now that you mention it. We have an excellent shower and it pounds down.

It's a sea foam green. The photo doesn't do it justice.

Your bathroom looks so tranquil. Love the wainscotting. I had some in my kitchen. The clawfoot tub reminds me of my grandparens' tub. It was great for a good, long soak. I haven't taken a bath in many, many years

I just recently started taking baths again due to my spine . It's such a joy as I really was a " bath" person until the accident then it became impossible. Now suddenly I can manage it again for short periods of time. I have to be very careful getting out and in. I do not know why but I find showers to be my daily necessary evil :-)
