  1. Not about a restaurant but I have about a hotel. Would feel tempted about the place we went to on Saturday. Crispy onions were missing then cold when I asked for them.by the time I got that sorted, my steak was like warm.I didn't bother complaining a third time.but told them when we paid. If I go back I wouldn't accept it but theyre in the process of changing owners.
  2. Not fussy at all but expect decent service as we are paying.
  3. I do speak up if I am not happy. Whereas Robert doesn't want to cause a fuss. Our first holiday the soup was so bad I couldn't eat it. He reached for mine to eat it as he didn't want to upset the waiter, even though he didn't like it either. I got cross and didn't let him.
  4. I eat out at least once every week.

  1. No
  2. Not very fussy
  3. No
  4. Absolutely not. I can eat out whenever I want so it's not like a special event.

  1. I've never left a negative review about a restaurant online. Have you?
  2. I'm not a fussy customer. I expect friendly service and decent food. I don't get my nose in a knot if the waiter/waitress makes a mistake.
  3. Yes...I feel criticism should be constructive and I give a great deal of attention to how it is received.
  4. I'm always grateful to have a meal away from home. It's not part of my lifestyle.

I have never left a negative review on line. I am not fussy in restaurants , if I don't like my food once I may go back once more and try something else ... or not. I am fussy about medical services and vet services for my animals :-) . criticism can be constructive but I do not want to be the one to criticize unless I am forced to ( like I did at the vet office today ). We eat out quite a bit because I hate to cook :-(

  1. We've left both positive and negative comments on Yelp
  2. I call it 'discerning'. ;-)
  3. Yes
4 For better or worse we eat out often.

  1. Never left a negative review but have a few times called the waiter over to say that food was overcooked or undercooked -- very politely and asked for my bill.
  2. Not fussy, but do appreciate a waiter who doesn't interrupt conversation at the table with a million questions that intrude...how is everything? That's a one time question I believe.
  3. I suppose one is doing that if things are pointed out...but doubt I have that in mind and I seldom critique unless I'm paying a lot for food that isn't prepared well. Seldom happens. My son managed restaurants for a while and it's a very hard job. I am more likely to compliment in a critique.
  4. I'd like to eat out more, but that is expensive; I eat out 1-3 times a month now. I really like home cooked meals more but sometimes I just get tired of eating my own meals or have few of the ingredients needed for a recipe in the house

Have you ever left a negative review of a restaurant on line - at Facebook for instance?
No. But I think I might be about to. After 6 months, I'm starting to think the difficulties at the Tim Hortons near work are not just because they're new.

How fussy a customer are you?
I'm not fussy unless it's something specific about a place that I called to verify. It irritates me when I feel like I've been specifically misled.

Do you feel you’re giving the place an opportunity to improve by pointing out shortcomings?
Sometimes, but it has to be a place where I feel like I've got a relationship with the staff. Otherwise, I just feel that they can sink or swim on their own merit

Are you just grateful to have a meal away from home that you’re happy with about anything?
That's not why, but I'm pretty easy going, and I'm out to enjoy myself, and maybe discover places where I can do so.
