Spontaneous spiking. in Sparkly, frosty wintertime 2016 (started a little late!)

Spontaneous is an interesting word, you see it was spontaneous but it had been planned for a long time.

Many years ago I looked at my friends tragus piercing and thought it looked cool, the idea has grown gradually until the end of last summer, I decided to have my tragus pierced at the same time as having my tattoo in February. It made sense since I would have to miss a couple of weeks of swimming with both.

But today I was in town with the girls - T and I had both run out of our Lush face washes (aqua marina for her and angels on bare skin for me). It did mean standing in a queue that snaked around the shop in an ever decreasing spiral filled with men who had come in gruffly saying “Get me a gift that costs about fifty quid,” to the ever smiling assistants.

We always have to spend large amounts of time in Waterstones as the girls sigh and gasp over all the books and this was when I had a brainwave. There is no swimming for two weeks because of The Christmas Holidays, now would be a very good time to get my ear broddled. I explained my plan to the girls, T took a few seconds to get used to the idea then we went. And I had it done.

I had my upper ear cartilage pierced and it did not hurt much when I got it done but it took a long time to heal, is that going to be the same case for you? looks cool, I was just telling a friend I would in for some more piercings,

I really want my ears pierced a bit more - I've only got two in my ear lobes. Maybe I should wait for my ear infection to go 😂😂

I have thought about getting one! That and the daith piercing! Glad to see it didn't hurt. What about now a month later? It took my industrial about a month to stop actively hurting and over a year for it to stop hurting anytime I bumped it or it got caught.

It's fine, every so often it feels a little tender and I realise I haven't cleaned it in a couple of days but otherwise it's good.
